Letter from the Elections Committee Chair

Dear AmCham Member,

In accordance with Article 3.14.2. of the By-Laws of AmCham, I am writing in my capacity as the Chairman of the AmCham Elections Committee for 2026 to call your attention to the openings on the AmCham Board of Directors and to encourage you to run.

The Annual General Assembly (AGA), traditionally one of AmCham’s most important events of the year, will be held on Wednesday, December 2, from 9:00 to 13:00 at the Budapest Marriott Hotel.

Please mark your calendar and save the date. Further details, including the Assembly agenda and registration information, will be shared in the coming weeks.

At the Assembly:
•    AmCham executives will report on the 2026 annual activities and achievements of the Chamber, highlight plans for 2027 and
•    new AmCham Board members will be elected.

Board of Directors

This year’s open positions for a 2-year term are: 
•    President 
•    First and Second Vice President 
•    Board Members-at-large positions

Supervisory Board

This year’s open position for a 3-year term is: 
•    Supervisory Board Member

If you are interested in running for a position on the Board of Directors, please note that the deadline for submitting all required materials to the AmCham Office is Monday, October 26, 2026.
In the interest of ensuring equal treatment for all candidates, this deadline is firm and will not be extended. 

We strongly recommend submitting your candidate materials well in advance of the deadline, even if only in parts, to allow the AmCham Office sufficient time to review the documents, confirm that all required materials are complete and valid, and address any issues that may arise before the deadline. 
After receiving and validating the candidates’ materials, all information on the candidates will be sent to the membership via email and will also be uploaded to the AmCham website during November.
