Deputy Minister for Interior Rétvári, AmCham Delegation Discuss Future of Healthcare in Hungary

Deputy Minister Bence Rétvári of the Ministry of Interior hosted AmCham’s leadership on September 28 to discuss AmCham’s Cooperation for a More Competitive and Sustainable Hungary Recommendation Package and also the Healthy Nation, Competitive Country recommendations.

AmCham was represented by President Zoltán Szabó and CEO Irisz Lippai-Nagy, together with Board Member István Katona (Celanese Hungary) and Healthcare Committee Chair Etelka Dobi (Janssen), and AmCham Policy Officers Zsófia Valkó-Juhász and József Gál.

At the meeting liaisons were appointed to further discuss all policy matters relevant to AmCham members, that fall under the Ministry’s jurisdiction, such as the transformation of healthcare and the future of education. During the initial meeting a number of areas were identified, where the Ministry is open to make changes according to AmCham’s recommendations, like the expanding the early screening function and treatment capabilities of occupational medicine.

AmCham’s Policy Team will follow-up on the progress of each of these policy changes and we will share milestones with the membership.
