Firstly, Róbert Dobay, by presenting the results of Gartner's Employee Survey, underlined the importance of people centric leadership and building a strong company culture. Based on the study, he also emphasized that there is evidence that people centric leadership style brings better results in multiple areas such as higher workforce retention, engagement, and employee well-being compared with average leadership. In addition, through engagement, it also has a positive impact on performance (highly engaged employees improve their team’s performance by up to 27% based on the research). On the other hand, it appears that managers and leaders implement either only in a few cases or not enough extensively people centric leadership style methods, the Masterclass would therefore provide a good opportunity to familiarize with the concept or its implementation.

Dr. Dobay's presentation was followed by a moderated discussion with two HR experts, Csilla Váradi (eMAG) and Tamás Jakus (Thermo Fisher Scientific) who shared valuable insights based on their own experiences. To the question of Dr. Dobay, on what is essential to establishing a people-centered work culture, they emphasized that cultural change needs above all, time and persistence, and the support of the CEO is also very forward-looking. Mr. Jakus named interest, dignity, and respect as key factors, while Ms. Váradi highlighted the role of communication, integrity and hiring the right people.

Our second Masterclass will take place on April 20 with 4 HR experts as guests and will discuss the Power of Positive Employee Experience.
