U.S. - Hungarian Relations in Focus at AmCham Hungary’s Business Forum

AmCham Hungary’s Business Forum welcomed Hungarian Ambassador Szabolcs Takács and Chargé d’Affaires Robert Palladino from the U.S. Embassy in Hungary, continuing the long-standing tradition of engaging representatives from both sides of the Atlantic to reflect on the state of U.S.–Hungary bilateral relations.

The discussion highlighted the strength of economic and trade partnerships, underlining how business ties continue to provide a solid foundation for the recently reinforced bilateral cooperation. Both speakers emphasized the growing importance of innovation and investment, while also noting the recent rise in energy cooperation and new momentum in scientific exchanges that create fresh opportunities for collaboration.

AmCham Hungary remains committed to supporting U.S.–Hungarian business relations through dialogue and cooperation, while addressing challenges such as the absence of a new double taxation treaty and the need to maintain Western investor confidence amid global uncertainties with a view to strengthening competitiveness.
