On January 28, the Tax Committee organized a meeting focused on the upcoming digital transformation of tax administration. Key topics included the phase-out of ÁNYK and the future roles of ONYA, NAV M2M, and the eÁfa system.

The meeting welcomed experts from the National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary. Participants heard insights from Dr. Antónia Erdélyi, Head of Department at the Department for Taxpayer Relations, and Szabolcs Czöndör, Head of Department at the Department for Tax Professional Innovation.

Discussions covered regulatory timelines, system functionalities and integrations, development milestones, and the interaction between the different platforms. Practical aspects were also addressed, including transition planning, testing environments, validation processes, and the handling of complex or manual-heavy filings.

The meeting also explored how taxpayers can best prepare for the changes ahead. Attention was given to how the National Tax and Customs Administration plans to communicate with stakeholders, involve market participants, and ensure sufficient system readiness during the transition period.
