Online discussion continued with Deputy State Secretary Botond Besesek on the new tax legislation for 2021

Following our in-person meeting with Deputy State Secretary Botond Besesek at the Business Meets Government Summit in October, now we are back again to the online connection, and continued our discussion with Botond Besesek on November 13 to better understand the new tax regulation for 2021. Members asked questions related to the digital extension of different services, the e-trade rules harmonization, e-invoicing, draft VAT return prepared by NAV, local tax (hipa) return obligation via NAV, the reasons of the changing rules on ‘KATA’, EKAER changes and many more.

There was a strong agreement on the need to continue the dialogue on professional financial issues. As Deputy State Secretary Botond Besesek stated the Ministry of Finance considers it important to keep a good relationship with AmCham and learn from the experience of the business sector.
