Budapest, 1 September 2026 – Mohamed Tammam has taken over as Country President of Novartis Hungary Ltd. as of 1 September, succeeding Colette Matz. Joining from Novartis United Kingdom, he brings more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry across multiple geographies.
Mohamed Tammam, the new Country President of Novartis Hungary, joined Novartis Egypt 15 years ago and has since built a distinguished leadership career across multiple functions and geographies. Throughout his tenure, he has held senior roles spanning commercial leadership, market access, pricing and strategic transformation, contributing to the successful implementation of Novartis’ global priorities. Most recently, he led the Solid Tumours business at Novartis UK, where he drove significant growth and innovation. His accomplishments include successfully launching a breakthrough therapy for early breast cancer, strengthening Novartis’ leadership position in advanced breast cancer (aBC), and advancing patient access to radioligand therapies.

Following her successful tenure as Country President of Novartis Hungary, Colette Matz will continue her career at Novartis at the company’s headquarters in Basel as International Disease Area Head, Breast Cancer.
