A lot has happened since the last issue of Journal at the end of last year. In the new issue, we give you a brief update about the Chamber’s activities since the COVID-19 outbreak, including our strategic meetings and our new web event series, AmCham LIVE!.
Moreover, we are in the middle of the main project of the year, the new Policy Agenda, our strategic guideline for 2021-2025. You can read about the process so far on page 3.
Together with HIPA, we hosted the VI Business Meets Government Summit, the flagship event of the year on October 19 with a keynote speech from Mihály Varga, Minister of Finance. Read our report on pages 1 and 4.
Our partnership with HIPA was strengthened with a new cooperation for our BSS Project. Learn about the latest developments for one of our fastest growing initiatives on page 8.
On the membership front, we are glad to introduce some new members: Baker Hughes, BNP Paribas, Roche Services Europe, Teqball, Tesco Business Services & Technology and United Call Centers. In our Patron Interview segment, we asked Thomas Narbeshuber, Managing Director of BASF Hungary about the lessons from the pandemic for businesses and the keys to the recovery from the recession.
