Dear AmCham Members,
AmCham is happy to announce that Zsolt Kákosy was elected by the Committee members as Chair of the Workspace and Facilities Management Committee and his two-year mandate will commence on January 1, 2023.
We would like to express our gratitude to the resigning leader of our Workspace and Facilities Management Committee: Tünde Kirschner, Kraft-FM. We are thankful for her dedicated leadership since 2018 and the many interesting discussions and facility visits Tünde championed during her tenure. She continued to drive well-established forums that create an open environment for discussions, where members seek professional advice from each other, while also providing a platform for external experts.
About Zsolt Kákosy MBA MRICS:
As an economist, he has 25 years of professional experience in the real estate industry, including investment, finance, asset management, property management, from the sides of development, ownership, banking and consulting. He has been the Senior Director of ICON REM since 2020, heading the property management area. During his career he has worked with offices, shopping centres, industrial and logistics properties. He has been a member of the RICS board in Hungary for seven years and since 2020 he has been lecturing on the world of property management at Corvinus University of Budapest. He has previously been involved in the work of the AmCham Workspace & Facilities Management Committee for several years, so he is not new to the work of the Chamber and the committee.
Professional program:
Just as it is unthinkable to invest in real estate or to operate without taking ESG aspects into account, Zsolt believes that the Committee's work should also focus on these topics, either as a whole, or by examining the ESG-focused thinking, or by examining the environment, social and governance areas individually and in more detail, with expert presentations.
He also considers data gathering, i.e. the possibilities and solutions for digitalization, data-driven operations, and the collection and organization of data, to be an important topic. An important objective for him is to increase the visibility of the Workspace & Facilities Management Committee both within the American Chamber of Commerce, among Chamber member companies, and outside the Chamber. Zsolt’s planned activities include study tours, expert presentations on ESG topics, as well as research and data analysis on data gathering.
