Time has come to meet virtually again to continue our discussion on common issues in the Competitive Workforce PTF on November 13, 2020.
After a short introduction and update on the recent events and plans by Robert Dobay, PTF Lead, we had an interesting online panel discussion on ‘Practices to embrace atypical way of working - atypical is more than home-office’ with our invited guests Krisztina Kovács, Regional HR Manager, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Andrea Tognetti, HR Director, UniCredit Bank, now in Bulgaria. Judit Forgács, CEO, ForgXpert moderated the discussion.
In recent years, increasing attention has been paid to the people occupying jobs that don’t fit the traditional model of permanent, regular-hours employment, and there’s clearly an appetite for well-managed atypical working arrangements from both employers and individuals. Atypical working is attracted more attention as a result of the growth of the digitally enabled ‘economy and can have significant benefits for both employers and workers. HR Directors share their experiences about key points to consider when managing atypical workforces, success stories and some pitfalls.
During the discussion we touched on relevant issues such as:
- How remote working affected your industry?
- How can you attract atypical workforce, like retired people or women on maternity leave?
- What alternatives you have for those how are resistant to change?
- What pitfalls, barriers, challenges you experienced during the implementation?
- How leadership and managerial attitudes must change in the new environment?
The topics generated interactive discussion and exchange of good practices.
Thanks our guests and all attendees for the valuable thoughts!
