How Companies Plan Their Future Mode of Operation

On July 8, 2020 AmCham Competitive Workforce Policy Task Force (CW PTF) members met virtually to share their views on ‘How Do Companies Plan Their Future Mode of Operation?’

Nowadays, organizations have already started to establish their recovery plans from the crisis. HR departments played a key role during the lockdown as well as in planning the way back to workplaces.

We invited some key players from different industries and started the meeting with a roundtable discussion asking our guests to share their experiences, considerations and plans for the future. Our distinguished guests were Katalin Bárány, HR Director at Tungsram, Zsuzsanna Emri, HR Director at KPMG, Zsuzsanna Tóth, HR Director at Vodafone and Vera Kápolnás, Home Office and Remote Work Expert. AmCham CW PTF Chair, Robert Dobay moderated the conversation and involved the participants in the discussion as well.

During the meeting several important issues were discussed such as

  •     What can we learn from the data gathered in the past 4 months?
  •     How can we build on the conclusions we draw from surveying the workforce?
  •     Can we get evidences from the results published so far?
  •     How to deal with the challenges we still face with, like mental health, manage performance remotely, work-life balance, social interactions?

We are thankful to our guests for accepting the invitation and we are also grateful that many CW PTF members joined the online meeting and actively participated in the discussion.
