Budapest, January 20, 2022 - Dr. Gábor Király has been elected as the new Country Managing Officer of Dentons’ Budapest office from January, 2022.
Gábor started his career at the Hungarian National Bank at the beginning of 1990’s. After nearly ten years he joined the banking and finance practice group of a leading international law firm, where after a few years he assisted the firm’s clients as partner. Then, after six years he gave up his private practice to undertake an in-house counsel role at one of Hungary’s largest banks, where Gábor gained further in-depth understanding of the banking and financial markets as general counsel, then as board member and deputy CEO. After five years he returned to legal practice. Gábor rejoined Dentons’ banking practice group in 2015 and has been a partner since April, 2021.
Gábor has been appointed as Country Managing Officer as of January 1, 2022, taking over the firm’s leading position from Dr. István Réczicza. István served as managing partner for more than 23 successful years: under his leadership Dentons has become one of the top law firms in Hungary. This makes Dentons one of the few law firms that indeed provide full-scale support to their clients in their transactions by offering not only legal, but also business advisory services. István Réczicza continues to work as a Senior Partner focusing on providing excellent support to clients and the strengthening of the advisory business.
