AmCham organized a high-level four-party meeting on the residence and employment of third-country nationals, hosted with representatives from the Ministry for National Economy, the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, and the National Directorate General for Alien Policing.
We were honored to welcome State Secretary Veronika Varga-Bajusz from the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, Deputy State Secretary Szilvia Balogh from the Ministry for National Economy, as well as Directors Kristóf Jáger and Mónika Rózsa from the National Directorate General for Alien Policing. They were joined by seasoned experts from their respective institutions to support the discussion and provide professional input where needed.
The discussion focused on the regulatory framework, addressing current challenges and opportunities in light of evolving market demands and business needs. It also highlighted issues impacting Hungary’s overall competitiveness. Key topics included the practical application and interpretation of the EU Blue Card and Hungarian Card schemes, along with procedures related to residence permits for both employment and study purposes.
