On June 4, we kicked off our ESG Seminar Series. The session began with a presentation by Péter Lenkey, ESG Professional Consultant at the Hungarian Economic Development Agency, who outlined key regulatory developments and national priorities.
He was then joined by Nóra Óváry-Papp (Counsel, Baker McKenzie), Ákos Veisz (Managing Partner, BDO Hungary ESG Advisory), and József Bőhm (Chair of AmCham’s Sustainable Growth Committee), who moderated the event, for a roundtable discussion.
The conversation covered the evolving regulatory landscape, strategic ESG integration—highlighting differences between SMEs and multinationals—opportunities for value creation, future trends, and practical advice for companies at various stages of their ESG journey.
The ESG series will continue with a session focused on Directives and reporting on June 13, followed by an interactive closing session on June 18, designed to help participants turn knowledge into practice
