AmCham Tax Committee and AmCham EU Host Strategic Tax Meeting

On January 23, AmCham Hungary's Tax Committee, in collaboration with AmCham EU, organized a meeting focused on Hungary’s EU Presidency and critical tax topics. The session featured distinguished guests, including Róbert Csabai, Head of the International Taxation and Transfer Pricing Department at the Ministry of National Economy, and Jonathan Lacey, Chair of AmCham EU's Tax Committee.

Key topics discussed included VAT in the Digital Age, the Transfer Pricing Directive, BEFIT, the Unshell Directive, and Pillar 2, among other emerging policy priorities. The event provided valuable insights into tax files and legislative developments shaping the European and Hungarian tax landscape.

The joint committee meeting was moderated by Károly Radnai, Chair of AmCham Hungary’s Tax Committee.
