For the first time since his election, Gergely Karácsony, Mayor of Budapest was the guest of AmCham’s latest business forum where we discussed his plans for the capital, and the state of the city’s economy after the COVID-19 outbreak.
In an exclusive closed-door meeting, the AmCham board and Mayor Karácsony explored the opportunities for cooperation with both parties agreeing that the business community and the city must work together to stimulate the economic recovery of Budapest.
During the conversation, the local business tax and the rumoured recovery tax, the city’s infrastructure developments, the state of public transportation, green and smart city inititatives were also discussed.
The meeting was followed by a streamed conversation between Mayor Karácsony and Dr. Farkas Bársony, President of AmCham.
