The Thanksgiving Charity Dinner, a cherished tradition in our calendar organized in partnership with Budapest Marriott Hotel, returned on November 22. The evening brought together business partners, friends, and families for a festive celebration with a meaningful purpose: giving back to support children in need.
This year, the funds raised supported two impactful initiatives: UNICEF Hungary’s “Rajtad áll a jövőd! – Generation Unlimited” program and the Hóangyal Foundation, both committed to empowering and supporting students.
Thanks to the generosity of our attendees—through donations, raffle tickets, and silent auction participation—nearly 4 million HUF was raised to aid these important causes.
The event also offered a moment to honor the legacy of the AmCham Foundation (ACF). Since its establishment under AmCham in 1989, the foundation has played a vital role in assisting children in need, providing transparent and ethical charity services to donor corporations, and promoting corporate social responsibility and volunteerism across Hungary’s business community. As the foundation concludes its operations this year, we reflected on its remarkable legacy and enduring impact over three decades.
Guests enjoyed a special Thanksgiving feast featuring classics like turkey, pumpkin pie, and other seasonal delights. The evening was made even more memorable by a dynamic performance from the Imre Baross Circus Arts School, while children delighted in their own magical experience with music by the Eszter-lánc Fairytale Band and a special surprise visit from Santa Claus.
