AmCham introduces its new Policy Agenda 2026-2030

Navigating Change, Building the Future, Strengthening Competitiveness

We are proud to present the new AmCham Hungary Policy Agenda 2026–2030, first introduced at the Business Meets Government Summit on October 16.
The fourth publication of its kind since 2015, it defines the Chamber’s strategic direction and advocacy priorities for the next five years.
In addition, the Policy Agenda outlines the key areas where meaningful progress can drive Hungary’s competitiveness and serves as the foundation of our ongoing dialogue with decision-makers, ensuring the needs and priorities of the business community are voiced to shape a more inclusive, resilient, and high value-added economy.

Goal & Structure

Increasing competitiveness is the general guiding principle throughout the document by means of developing a competitive and inclusive workforce, creating a predictable and attractive business environment and embracing smart and sustainable growth.

Competitive and Inclusive Workforce: People Come First
In this section, we emphasize that a nation’s competitiveness begins with its people. By investing in education, health, and inclusive workplaces, we build a skilled, adaptable, and resilient workforce that drives innovation and long-term growth.

Predictable and Attractive Business Environment: People Need Systems They Can Trust
This second pillar highlights the importance of transparent regulations, consistent enforcement, and open dialogue between stakeholders to create the trust and predictability businesses need to plan, invest, and succeed.

Smart and Sustainable Growth: We Must Build for the Future
To stay competitive, our focus must turn to strategic, future-oriented growth. By embracing innovation, digitalization, and sustainability, Hungary can strengthen its resilience and secure a leading position in the global economy.
