On October 6, AmCham Hungary hosted AI in 2026: Enterprise Strategy in the Age of AI Agents, exploring how the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence is reshaping business strategy, productivity and operating models.
The event opened with a presentation by Cristi Nastase, Sr. Principal Enterprise Architect – Generative AI, IT Fellow at ExxonMobil, who discussed the path toward increasingly autonomous enterprises and the need for a focused, deliberate AI strategy that combines experimentation with scalable business value. He also highlighted the growing complexity of the AI ecosystem and the importance of building the right foundations for wider enterprise adoption.

The discussion continued with Attila Csontos, Accenture; Katalin Horváth, 4iG Space and Defense Technologies; Cristi Nastase; and Shi Robson, Attrecto, moderated by Dániel Galambos, ExxonMobil.
Panelists highlighted that while AI agents can increasingly support decision-making and business processes, human judgement remains essential. The discussion also emphasized that faster work does not automatically mean higher productivity, and that successful AI adoption requires clear business objectives, measurable value and new operating models built around effective human-AI collaboration. Participants also reflected on the potential impact of AI on corporate functions and workforce structures, noting that organizations need to think carefully about where automation creates genuine value and where human capabilities remain critical.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A.
