Motivation
Why do you think membership in the American Chamber of Commerce is important for businesses operating in Hungary?
AmCham membership provides a strategic advantage for businesses operating in Hungary. It connects companies with influential networks and resources, fostering opportunities to engage with policy-makers, industry leaders, and international counterparts. By participating in AmCham, businesses gain access to initiatives that promote transparency, ethical standards, and a favorable business climate—factors that are crucial for long-term success and sustainability in Hungary.
Moreover, AmCham champions innovation and supports critical industry reforms, helping companies stay competitive and future-ready. Through initiatives like Empower Her and other talent-focused programs, AmCham is also driving meaningful impact in areas like workforce development and diversity. Membership, therefore, isn't just about business; it's about being part of a community dedicated to shaping a vibrant and sustainable economy in Hungary.
What motivates you to be an AmCham Board Member/Supervisory Board Member?
My journey with AmCham began at the start of my career, where I experienced firsthand the organization’s pivotal role in bridging business and policy to create a thriving economic environment in Hungary. This experience instilled in me a deep appreciation for AmCham’s mission and impact.
Today, as a candidate for the Board Member at Large, I’m motivated by the opportunity to contribute to that legacy by driving initiatives that address both current and future challenges for businesses in Hungary. I believe AmCham’s work in advocating for transparency, innovation, and a skilled, diverse workforce aligns with my own professional values. I’m eager to bring my experience in leadership and strategic development to further amplify AmCham’s influence and to support the membership in creating a resilient, forward-looking business environment.
Why do you feel you are qualified? What skills do you bring to the position?
I bring over 20 years of experience in leadership and global business services, particularly within complex, multinational environments. As the General Manager of Lexmark’s Budapest Competence Center, I’ve led teams through transformative changes, streamlined operational efficiencies, and strengthened cross-cultural collaboration. My background in strategic management, paired with my early career roots at AmCham, has given me a unique perspective on the importance of building sustainable, inclusive business practices. This blend of experience equips me well to contribute effectively to AmCham's goals and initiatives.
How have you been active in AmCham over the course of the last two years?
I am member of the BSS Hungary Working Group and DEI&B Working Group. Sponsored the HR Dream Day in 2024 and participated as a panellist. Sponsored the 35th Anniversary event.
