Dear Sustainable Growth Committee Members,

We are delighted to invite you to our upcoming meeting focusing on how businesses can prepare for the
increasingly tangible impacts of climate change and strengthen the resilience of their operations.

Event details:
Date: November 3, 2026
Time: 15:30-17:00
Venue: AmCham office (1051 Bp, Szent István Square 11. 6th floor)

The event will be opened by József Bőhm, Chair of AmCham’s Sustainable Growth Committee and Global Head of Sustainability at KOSTAL Group.
The meeting will take a practical, business-focused look at the climate-related risks companies operating in Hungary are already facing or may need to prepare for in the coming years. The discussion will address key challenges such as water scarcity and drought, the security of industrial water supply, the impact of extreme heat on production, infrastructure and employees, energy resilience, as well as supply chain and business continuity risks.

The program will feature expert presentations by Dr. Tamás Pálvölgyi, Head of Department, Associate Professor and Vice-Dean for International and Strategic Affairs at the Ludovika University of Public Service, and Levente András Koczóh, Senior Climate Policy Advisor at the Green Policy Center.

The presentations will be followed by a roundtable discussion with Dr. Tamás Pálvölgyi and András Cserép, Head of Sustainability at K&H Bank, moderated by József Bőhm. The discussion will explore what adaptation measures and investments companies should already be considering today, and how climate-related risks can be incorporated into long-term business planning and decision-making.

Participants will also have the opportunity to raise their own questions during the concluding Q&A session.
