This session examines how AI can contribute to actual performance when humans and AI collaborate in day-to-day workflows.

Drawing on her PhD (Put AI To Use: AI Prediction versus Human Judgement), Dóra Göndöcs, PhD shows when AI helps, when it does not, and what conditions must be in place to improve joint, hybrid performance - grounded in a meta-analysis of 206 empirical AI studies.

Topics include:

  • separating AI prediction from human judgement,
  • making the human - AI handoff explicit, and
  • using context-specific assessment for each use case alongside tracking judgement quality, not only model accuracy.

Dóra will also share brief use cases from customer operations, medicine, banking, and logistics.
