Does your business face challenges that could be solved by space technology?
Lőrinc Páva, ESA Technology Broker at Design Terminal will give a glimpse into the program:
Space brings benefits to Earth in form of services and top-class science. This makes space an industrial sector of high strategic and economic value. The main goal of the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Technology Brokers is to create added value for and strengthen the industry through the joint collaboration between a space organization and a non-space industry. The broker is always ready to help companies, that would like to innovate or struggling with technology challenges by connecting them with relevant firms from the European space industry. Because the ESA Technology Broker programme is a Europe wide initiative with the aim of supporting technology transfer all over the continent.
ESA Spark Funding is a complementor programme for the Technology Broker, primarily targeted at SMEs or larger entities who already have existing product lines. If these entities are looking to innovate and gain a competitive advantage through integrating space technology into their existing processes or to create entirely new products/services, they can apply for Spark Funding and gain up to 60,000 euros (equity free) support to realize the technology transfer.
