AmCham Hungary and the Budapest Marriott Hotel will team up again for a good cause! Join us with your family, friends, and business partners to enjoy a festive buffet dinner, children animation, charity raffle & auction and more!

Proceeds from the event will support the Amigos For Children Foundation and United Way SmatShop program.

We’re thrilled to announce that the grand prize of our Thanksgiving Dinner charity raffle is two retour tickets to San Francisco, courtesy of Turkish Airlines.


EVENT DETAILS:

  • Date: November 21, 2025 (Friday), 18:00-21:30 (Arrival from 17.15)
  • Location: Budapest Marriott Hotel (1052 Budapest, Apáczai Csere János u. 4.)

The event will include the following programs:

  • Performance by the ensemble of scholarship students from the Common Voice Project by the Malta Symphony and the Danubia Orchestra  
  • Charity Raffle and Silent Auction
  • Thanksgiving-themed decoration
  • Cocktail bar courtesy of Diageo
  • Photo booth by SelfieMe
  • Kids’ corner by Happy Kids International Kindergarten
  • and Santa Claus promised to make an appearance too!

(*) The Common voice is a joint program of Danubia Orchestra and Malta Symphony for the artistic integration of children learning music at catching-up settlements. During the program, orchestra members will establish a personal relationship with the children and teachers attending the music learning program of the Malta Symphony, they develop common artistic goals during regular meetings, and having done joint rehearsals, they perform at the concerts of the orchestra, among others at the Liszt Academy of Music.

REGISTRATION:

  • To guarantee your seat, please register via email to anita.arvai [at] amcham.hu by November 14 (Friday). Online registration is not available for this event.
  • Registrations are accepted on a first come, first served basis.
  • Please specify the number of participants, names, kids' age (if any) and method of payment, as well as billing address during registration.
  • Participants can attend the event only if the participation fee is paid in advance.
  • Written cancellations made by November 14 receive a full refund. Late cancellations or “no-shows” will be charged.
  • Participation fee:
    • AmCham Members: HUF 30 000 + VAT (38,100 HUF incl. VAT) / person. Kids between 6 and 12 years receive 50% discount. Kids under 6 are our guests.
    • Non-members: HUF 35.000 + VAT (44,450 HUF incl. VAT) / person (Kindly note that AmCham members and partners of Budapest Marriott Hotel enjoy priority)

Participation fee includes unlimited consumption of welcome drinks, all-you-can-eat buffet, wine, soft drinks.

ABOUT THE FOUNDATIONS:

AMIGOS FOR CHILDREN FOUNDATION 

The mission of the Amigos for Children Foundation is to provide friendship and support to hospitalized children and help them through their difficult days by playing and learning languages together. In 2025 more than 250 university student Amigo volunteers regularly visit children in 6 cities, 21 hospital units across Hungary.

The Amigo sessions are designed to give children back control over their everyday lives and the possibility to connect and socialize with the volunteers close to their age. We also aim at supporting those children we cannot meet personally with different programs such as the Amigos Box project and the Amigo Days.

Our essential values—reliability, consistency, and teamwork—have stayed constant, as well as our vision: that one day every sick child will have an Amigo by their side.

UNITED WAY - OKOSHOP PROGRAM

United Way Hungary has been present in Hungary for more than 30 years as a member of the United Way international network, the world's largest non-profit organization supported by private donations and corporate grants. Since 2014, United Way Hungary has been dedicated to empowering children and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds, to unlock their potential and achieve financial stability.

“OKOSHOP” (SmartShop) – how to become smart and foresighted in finances at a young age: 
SmartShop is a financial education program for primary school children (ages 9–12). Through playful, real-life-inspired methods, it teaches essential skills such as financial awareness, money management, and responsible family budgeting. At the heart of the program is an engaging board game, where children learn how to manage money, save for smart shopping, and make decisions that mirror real-life financial challenges.

Thanksgiving Charity AuctionSUPPORT THE CHARITY AUCTION, DONATE AN ITEM!

You can also support the Thanksgiving Charity Drive with a material donation, benefitting the Foundations of our choice. Your donated items or vouchers will be put up for silent auction or raffle at the event.

  • We kindly ask that the donated items have a minimum 50.000 HUF value
  • Above a 200.000 HUF value we can offer one free ticket to the Dinner
