Not only we talk about a pandemic, but the pursuing economic recession will hit societies similarly hard. These vectors are reshaping politics, and on the longer term, the political institutions and the articulation of foreign policy. Hence, COVID will certainly have an impact on geopolitics, but what are the most probable scenarios?

About the speaker:

Mr. Botond Feledy is a lawyer, foreign policy expert and commentator. He lives in Brussels and serves as the Secretary for Leadership at the Jesuit European Social Centre, in charge of the European Leadership Programme among others. His research focus is cyber security and hostile influence operations in Central Europe. He was elected as member of the #NewEurope100, a joint initiative of Google, Financial Times, Visegrad Fund and the Polish Res Publica Foundation to choose yearly the hundred most transformative person of the Central European region. He is former director of the Saint Ignatius Jesuit College, he is still working at various instances of the Hungarian public talent management programs. He presides the Institute of Social Reflection as well as offers seminars in IR theory at Pazmany University, Budapest.
