We have been through unprecedented months in many ways placing the energy sector at the forefront of the events. It also highlights the importance to learn about the main actors and regulatory authorities. With this in view, AmCham organizes a Business Forum on February 28 with Csaba Lantos, Minister of Energy.
Mr. Lantos, who has been in post since 1 December as head of the newly established ministry, will present the portfolio and the priorities of the ministry at our Business Forum.

Minister Lantos graduated from Károly Marx University of Economics as an economist-sociologist in 1986, member of László Rajk College for Advanced Studies.

1987-1989 Budapest Bank
Csaba Lantos started his career at Budapest Bank as a bond trader.
1989-2000 CA-IB
He worked in various senior positions at Creditanstalt Group, first managing the financial securities trading, then directing the investment fund management and after that he became the CEO of CA-IB, the investment bank managing the entire group.
2000-2007 OTP Bank Plc.
He was member of the Board of Directors and deputy CEO, managing the retail sector.
Since 2007 he managed his own investment company Lantos Vagyonkezelő Ltd. focusing primarily on health services and life sciences beside several other investments.
Since December 1st, 2022 he is the Minister of Energy.
