Education & Innovation Working Group

The Working Group’s mission is to strengthen cooperation between the education and business sectors in response to the needs of an evolving labor market. By promoting collaboration and supporting a strong R&D ecosystem involving both academia and industry, the Education & Innovation Working Group aims to foster a competitive, knowledge-based economy where businesses can generate high-added-value solutions and move up the global value chain.

The Working Group is the successor of the former Governance & Transparency Committee, which was originally established to promote transparency and effective governance practices, while fostering entrepreneurship and engagement among the next generation of leaders and their mentors. Over the years, the group’s focus shifted toward a broader, long-term perspective, with increasing emphasis on education and innovation - recognizing their crucial role in sustained competitiveness. In response, it adopted a renewed strategy and structure to reflect these evolving priorities. Building on this renewed approach, the Working Group now focuses on advancing strategic collaboration between education and business, and supporting innovation-driven growth through research and development.

The Working Group is led by Eyal ZuckerManaging Partner, Ediyal.

We also thanked László Czirják, Chair of the former Governance & Transparency Committee – the predecessor of the current working group – for his dedicated and longstanding leadership.
  • In November, the committee hosted a session on bridging the gap between institutions and industry needs.
  • Additionally, the Working Group continued delivering the Board Simulation case study series to Hungarian universities throughout the fall semester, supporting students’ practical learning.
