Services include:
- Recommended colorectal cancer screenings beginning at 50 (earlier with a family history)
- Further investigation of unexplained upper and lower abdominal pain
- Diagnosing issues of drug-resistant heartburn
- Helping with problems of diarrhea, enema, and indigestion
Joining the FirstMed staff to provide gastroenterology consultations and procedures are:
Dr. Peter Kokas, a surgeon and gastroenterologist, is a professor and director of studies at Semmelweis Medical University, and the founding president (1996-2014) of the Hungarian Endoscopic Ultrasound Club.
Dr. Eszter Schafer, internist and gastroenterologist, is a graduate of Semmelweis Medical University. She has expertise in inflammatory bowel and pancreatic diseases.
We can also perform tests requested by your personal doctor or specialists.
