Why do you think membership in the American Chamber of Commerce is important for businesses operating in Hungary?

AmCham is a very active, living organization with very adequate initiatives and programs. The membership is very colorful; a great community to belong to. There are very diverse topics and working groups, so it is easy to select those ones which are appropriate for a company and we can connect and contribute to it. I am fully endorsed the focus and values of AmCham.
The advocacy role is very strong; AmCham represents the voice of membership how and what to do for a more competitive Hungary, which we (as companies and also leaders, private individuals) all benefit from and even our children will take the advantages.
Always very relevant themes are in the focus, - basically for all players and industries - topics like digitalization, education or labour market subjects. Through meetings, summits, conferences and committee meetings all members can contribute, since collaboration is also an important value of the chamber and can get benefit from it for its close environment and/or own company.

What motivates you to be an AmCham Board Member/Supervisory Board Member?

The transparent and collaborative way of working at AmCham is very attractive for me. The dialogues with the different stakeholders and the result of these are amazing and I would like to be part of it and contribute to its further success. I see great team(s) and teamwork at the
organization, which I believe I can contribute to. I am eager to be part of this team, which works for Hungary to become a better country to live and work in; to be a more attractive, competitive and future proof country. I feel I can add value to AmCham’s activities and the way of working and the success of the chamber makes it attractive for me to put my time, energy and knowledge & experience in it.

Why do you feel you are qualified? What skills do you bring to the position of Board Member/Supervisory Board?

I am a very passionate person with very high & positive energies and “can do” mentality. I have 20 years top management experience and worked in 3 different industries (pharmaceutical, marketing communication and leasing), which gives me wide breadth of view. With all my background, experiences and extensive network of people I can contribute to the team work of AmCham Board in order to further grow AmCham - as one of the most successful chamber of commerce in Hungary - and set & deliver challenging targets together with the Board members and the Membership. I have also experience to form and Chair an advocacy organization from the past (POPAI Hungary) and I am active board member of 2 associations (Hungarian Leasing and the Hungarian Emobility Associations). Thanks to my brave thinking, decisions and actions I’ve received the very first Manager of The Year Blue Innovation award in 2018. With my participation the Board could be more diverse and colourful!

How have you been active in AmCham over the course of the last two years?
