  • March 26, 2020
On 24 March 2020 AmCham’s Tax Committee met online to discuss the current economic lockdown caused by covid-19 and to agree what governmental actions would be needed.

Károly Radnai, Tax Committee Lead, emphasized that the previous recommendations of the Committee presented to the government in AmCham’s advocacy document „Cooperation for a More Competitive Hungary 2020” are very timely, even in the current situation.

The more than 20 participants analyzed the extraordinary tax measures released by the government the last days to mitigate the impact of the coronavirus on the national economy. The Committee made further suggestions to the decisionmakers, based on their present problems and challenges. These recommendations include postponements of payment and reporting deadlines, new elements to the cafeteria system, e-invoicing and many other initiatives.

AmCham has already submitted the requested measures to the governmental bodies. You can read these new recommendations here.
