- March 27, 2018
This year’s Future: Hungary’s event in Cambridge has attracted around 150 Hungarian students enrolled at various UK universities. Students were most interested in the economic arena of Hungary, trainee and job opportunities the country can offer them and tips and suggestions on how to look for a job after their graduation.
Andrea Juhos, co-chair of AmCham’s Competitive Workforce Taskforce was invited to open the event in a joint speech with the President of Future: Hungary event, Gergely Horváth. They discussed developments in Hungary’s competitiveness based on the World Economic Forum’s annual Global Competitiveness Report followed by an inspiring speech by Mr. Erik Bogsch, Deputy R&D Director of Gedeon Richter’s Biotechnology Division. Mr. Bogsch is also a Cambridge graduate whose personal story on why he has decided to move back to Hungary resonated very well with the audience.
This was followed by a Start-up pitch competition with 4 teams competing for a prestigious prize. Participants spent the afternoon attending various workshops delivered by company representatives from Morgan Stanley, Hiventures and Graphisoft. Andrea Juhos was asked to deliver two workshops on job search techniques and job opportunities in today’s Hungary.
