On September 18, AmCham Tax Committee Lead Károly Radnai, AmCham CEO Irisz Lippai-Nagy and some of our experts from the Tax Committee met with State Secretary Norbert Izer and his colleagues in the Ministry of Finance.

We had a constructive discussion on the business environment and tax related suggestions from AmCham’s Cooperation for a More Competitive Hungary” recommendation package in detail such as the burdens of tax administration, anomalies of client gate (“ügyfélkapu, cégkapu”), experiences with corporate tax consolidation, local business tax issues (“hipa”).

Regular meetings between AmCham and the Ministry of Finance provide excellent opportunity for progressive consultation and mutual understanding of key issues with special focus on taxation. All participants agreed to continue this cooperation and work together in order to improve the business environment and our country’s competitiveness through business friendly tax rules and legislation.
