Job opening: Communications and Event Assistant

To support our office in Budapest, Hungary, we are looking for a colleague with English proficiency and strong organizational and administrative skills between January 2019 and Fall 2020.

The Copmmunications and Event Assistant will have an active role in the Chamber’s life and will be responsible for supporting the Communications and Event team by carrying out administrative and organizational tasks, along with additional assigned projects. You will have the opportunity to participate in high level meetings and events, work independently and to join a very strong, effective and enthusiastic team.

Daily tasks will include:

  • administration of event registrations
  • invoicing event participation fees
  • handling event outstandings
  • assist with the administration of sponsorships
  • website content management
  • assistance in preparing communication materials
  • assisting with operational tasks related to events
  • project management


The ideal candidate: 

  • Is fluent in written and spoken Hungarian and English
  • Has strong computer skills and is an experienced MS Office programs user
  • Has strong administrative skills
  • Is a good problem solver
  • Has experience in social media management and CMS management
  • Able to handle responsibilities individually under a Manager’s guidance
  • Is willing to learn continuously
  • Is a real team player
