Extraordinary Regulatory Committee Meeting

On 11 October AmCham’s Regulatory Committee welcomed Deputy State Secretary Dr. Zoltán Nemessányi and a Chief Advisor to the Minister Dr. Tibor Bogdán from the Ministry of Justice.

The Deputy State Secretary thanked AmCham for its outstanding professional input and support that has been regularly provided within the framework of a Strategic Partnership Agreement over the years, and highlighted the importance of AmCham's input that was sent and presented in connection with those sectoral legislation that are relevant and need to be modified in AmCham’s view for the sound implementation of the GDPR in Hungary.

Dr. Nemessányi and Dr. Bogdán gave an overview of the Ministry’s legislative work and priorities for 2018 and 2019, which sparked a professional dialogue with committee members.

AmCham – Ministry of Justice Strategic Partnership Agreement: First in 2011, then again in 2015, the Ministry of Justice and AmCham signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement with the aim of formalizing cooperation and direct, structured consultation on legislative proposals.
