Earning a spot on the world map of finance – The U.S. Financial Institutes Project

Four Patron members of AmCham - Blackrock, Citi, Morgan Stanley and MSCI - decided to launch a new initiative to increase the attractiveness of the financial sector and show the benefits and opportunities they provide.

Blackrock, Citi, Morgan Stanley and MSCI organized two panel discussions at the latest BrainBar event, together with AmCham, to inform young talents about their activities, positions and about the business value they create. ,Lilla Petroczki (Quantitative researcher in BlackRock Investment Institute), Illés Farkas (AVP Quantitative Analyst, DSc, Citi), Bea Czinke (Head of Valuation Control, Morgan Stanley), Thomas Verbraken (Executive Director, Research, MSCI) were the participants of the first panel, which focused on having a career in Hungary. During the discussion --moderated by Irisz Lippai-Nagy, CEO, AmCham - the young talents talked about their path to their current job and what kind of advantages they see in building a career here. The second panel approached the topic from the investors perspective and explained why Hungary is attractive for big companies. Participants of this panel were high-level company and government representatives: Melanie Seymour (Head of Global Client Service at BlackRock), Beáta Juvancz (Managing Director, Finance at Morgan Stanley), Kevin A. Murray (CEO for Central Europe and Country Head for Hungary at Citi), Ákos Janza (Managing Director - Operational Management, Head of the Budapest Office at MSCI Inc.) and Róbert Ésik (President of HIPA).
