- April 24, 2018
“Dentons’ strategy for CEE/CIS is to be a top firm in all key markets across the region, and this award is a testament to the success of that strategy,” said Tomasz Dąbrowski, Chief Executive Officer of Dentons Europe. “With more than 25 years of experience, and extensive depth and breadth of coverage, our clients have come to trust us with their most strategic legal matters in the region.”
Florian Schneider, Russia Managing Partner, added, “Despite challenging market conditions, Dentons has continued to thrive in Russia, so we are truly honored by this prestigious award, which is recognition of the hard work of our team and trust and loyalty of our valued clients.”
In the last year, Dentons advised on many of the largest transactions in CEE, including French energy group EDF’s €1 billion+ sale of its Polish assets to Polska Grupa Energetyczna, Budapest Airport’s US$1.6 billion debt restructuring, CPI Property Group’s €650 million acquisition of a portfolio of 11 retail properties, and Expobank’s acquisition of Marfin Bank JSC Belgrade.
The Chambers Europe Awards are organized annually by Chambers and Partners and honor the work of law firms across Europe. Based on the research for the Chambers Europe guide, they look at a firm's market position and key achievements over the last year, including outstanding work, impressive strategic growth, and excellence in client service as measured by client feedback.
These awards were given to Dentons just a day after Dentons’ Budapest office received the National Law Firm of the Year Award for Hungary - for the third year in a row - at the IFLR European Awards, held on April 19, 2018 at the Savoy Hotel in London. These prestigious awards, conferred annually by International Financial Law Review (IFLR), honor Europe’s most innovative firms and deals.
