Expanding University Outreach of the Start your Business! Program

  • April 29, 2014
The Governance & Transparency Committee’s "Start your business!" program has been taken to eight different universities and colleges since 2012, reaching out to altogether more than 700 students. This Spring, "Start your business!" speakers enjoyed a warm welcome at the Eszterházy Károly College in Eger and at the University of Szeged.

Előd Solti, program leader says, he is very proud that AmCham’s recent "Start your business!" program was performed as part of the very prestigious „Innovation Day” conference organized by the University of Szeged. At the event, Tivadar Limbacher, founder of Ma Este Színház! and Miklós Weszl, founder of Innovation and Technology Management Hungary Kft. openly shared with students their experiences on starting their companies.

The programs, co-organized with HVCA, are structured to first inspire students through stories of real Hungarian entrepreneurs like them and then follow-up with strategy sessions where the students’ first steps towards entrepreneurship can be plotted with the help of legal, financial, venture capital and HR experts. In May, the roadshow’s next stops are Szent István University, Gödöllő and University of Debrecen.
