Career Ambassador Program at Lexmark

  • March 24, 2015
To expand our widely popular Language Ambassador Program, AmCham Hungary has launched the Career Ambassador Program this semester, working in strong cooperation with our membership and high schools. The initiative aims to help students gain direct experience of the activities of companies operating in Hungary, and learn more about the labor market opportunities and expectations.

The visit of Vörösmarty Mihály Gimnázium’s students at Lexmark was one of the first events of the semester. Both students and teachers highlighted the importance of the visit, whereby they got an insight into the everyday life of the company; listened to a brief English summary of the company's activities, took an office tour, solved a Qiuz, and talked to the employees working in different areas. The fresh, inspiring personal stories also contributed to the success of the visit.

The company’s CEO Péter Csucska stressed the benefits of a multinational working environment and the everyday opportunity to meet different cultures and people.
By the end of the day everyone felt the real energy of a special globe-trotting.

Turn your office into a Language Embassy for a day!

The next phase of the FLLI project - based on a number of discussions with our members and schools - is to invite students’ groups to visit member companies to provide them an opportunity to practice their foreign language competency and to help them understand the requirements of a multilingual work environment.
We encourage member companies to join this new initiative and AmCham is ready to coordinate the visits.
