Call for Proposals - Recommendation Package 2020

Recommendation Package 2020

Dear Members,

Following the V. Business Meets Government Summit, our annual advocacy cycle ends and the work is set to begin on the new Cooperation for a More Competitive Hungary recommendation package. I kindly invite you to become a part of the process and share your ideas, recommendations with us.

The current recommendation package was sent to Prime Minister Orbán and his cabinet in March. Throughout the year, we discussed the proposals at various forums with our partners and expert colleagues from several ministries and governmental bodies. We are pleased to report that our efforts were welcomed, and, in many cases, the suggestions were taken into consideration.

The time has come to update this document and compile the new recommendation package titled „Cooperation for a more competitive Hungary 2020”.

Therefore, we kindly invite you to send us your recommendations, comments, ideas, suggestions towards the government to improve our competitiveness.

Your propositions will be discussed and examined at upcoming Policy Task Force & Committee - meetings along with the feedback and findings from this year’s consultations - starting in November.

Members are encouraged to join working groups relevant to their interests and expertise, we are always looking forward to new ideas and perspectives.

The final recommendation package will be sent to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and his cabinet for consultations.

To stimulate your thoughts, you can find the current Executive Summary for the 2019 proposals here.

The new document will also be divided into four chapters in line with our Policy Task Forces (PTFs): General Business Climate (Investment), Competitive Workforce and Education (Competitive Workforce), Innovation and Research & Development (Innovation) and Digitalization (Digitalization).

We would highly appreciate if you could send us your input, preferably in Hungarian, to Policy Officers Zsuzsanna Varga (zsuzsanna.varga@amcham.hu) or Rebeka Gáti (rebeka.gati@amcham.hu) by November 15.

We are counting on your cooperation, knowledge and expertise in the next phase of our advocacy work.
