AmCham’s Tax Committee convened on November 5, 2019

Károly Radnai, Tax Committee Lead (partner, OrienTax) provided a brief report on the main outcomes of the Business Meets Government Summit held on the 16th of October.

During the meeting, members discussed different topics, such as a proposal related to some tax administration procedures presented by Péter Lakatos and Balázs Kántor (Lakatos, Köves, and Tsai Law Offices).

Aside from this, adjustments and new additions to the 2020 recommendation package were discussed with the goal of simplifying tax-administration processes.

Among other notions, András Lénárd, (Telekom) described administrative problems around the local business taxes, and Tamás Káldi (IBM) outlined a proposal to make the one-stop shop (cégkapu) governmental business administration system more effective. 

Tax Committee will continue to work on further recommendations to make the Hungarian business environment more competitive.
