AmCham Hungary is a founding member of the newly established AI Coalition

  • October 10, 2018
On 9th of October, by invitation of Minister László Palkovics and Roland Jakab, leader of the AI Coalition, businesses, professional organizations, chambers of commerce, academic and governmental institutions gathered together to establish the AI Coalition. AmCham president Dr. Farkas Bársony participated at the ceremony at the Infotér Conference and signed the founding document of the Coalition on behalf of AmCham. By joining this new platform AmCham would like to contribute to the elaboration of the Hungarian AI strategy and represent the interest of its membership in the area of AI developments.

The aim of the AI Coalition is to support Hungary in the international competition and in becoming a reference point for the international AI community by defining the directions and framework of the AI-based developments. Furthermore the Coalition would like to strengthen the competitiveness of domestic businesses by the wide spreading and extensive application of AI with special attention to Hungarian start-ups and SMEs. Also, the Coalition will focus on the efficient, fair and regulated utilization of public data, which is an important advocacy topic for AmCham, included in last year’s Cooperation for a more competitive Hungary recommendation package.
