The annual tax conference, hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic this year, brings together experts from around the V4 region to discuss the results of past reforms and debate the merits of planned reforms at the national and European level. The conference will be attended by businesspeople and both public and private sectors’ tax experts working in Central Europe.

Panel Discussions

  • How has the ongoing financial crisis influenced planned reforms?
    Discussion by a high level government panel. Deputy Finance Ministers from Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia have been invited.

  • What is Brussels planning that will change national tax environments?
    High level EU officials and corporate executives will discuss the current state of the CCCTB, green taxes, and other initiatives being developed in the Commission.

  • How can tax be used as a policy tool to address regional economic needs?
    Discussion by a panel of public, corporate, and academic experts on how tax policy can address the black market, research & development, and infrastructure investment.
